Verification Station Operator
Verification or checking of recognised data is the central part of the operator's work. Whenever the program is uncertain about a character, it is marked for the operator to review. The purpose of the verification process is to verify such characters and resolve any rules and formatting issues. Rule validation is performed automatically. Fields whose values satisfy the rule conditions may be marked as reliably recognised and excluded from the verification process. Fields whose values do not meet the rule conditions are submitted for verification.
The operator can review the document assembly for multi-page documents. This is to ensure each document set contains the correct number of images. For example, two single-page invoices should form two separate documents. After the assembly check, the operator can start verifying the data.
The invoice images sent to SmartUi Capture Cloud (By email) are processed in the background, in unattended mode. This step is unattended and does not require interaction from the operator or administrator. The required time for this may vary depending on the workload and number of pages. It may take 1-2 minutes for an invoice image to be listed in the verification queue for verification.
Opening Verification Station, Controls and toolbars
Once the invoice processing on the server is complete, the routing engine will place the document (invoice image and captured data) into the Verification queue and mark it accordingly. Please do the following to start verification:
- Run Start -> ABBYY FlexiCapture Stations -> Verification Station (to speed things up, create a shortcut for this application on the desktop);
- Once logged in, you will see your verification queue with the number of tasks pending verification and approval. Figure 8: Verification Queue
- Double-click the queue name, and the station will open the oldest pending document in the queue. If you would like to select a particular document in the queue, click the right mouse button and choose "Explore queue" from the context menu, then select the task you would like to open. Figure 9: Explore Queue
- Alternatively, click on the Working batches button to show a list of all the working batches and other information such as status and stage. Figure 10: Working Batches
- If automatic task receive mode is enabled, you need to click on the get task button. The next task will be received automatically when the current one is completed.
